There are several reasons why people choose to be vegan. For some, it is part of a centuries-old cultural and religious tradition. For others, going vegan can be the right dietary choice to help inspire better eating habits. There are also those who become vegan due to moral or ethical objections.
At Whitekirk Hill we embrace all reason for becoming vegan. We are mindful of dietary requirements, personal preferences and are respectful of all our customers beliefs.
Our chefs are always looking at ways to improve our menus so offering delicious vegan dishes is an important consideration. One of our best sellers is a new dish, BBQ pulled jackfruit on a brioche bun, served with sweet potato fries, red slaw, and onion rings. Having just one vegan option isn’t enough and so our guests can enjoy halloumi tacos, served with guacamole, salsa, and fries, or a healthy Hasselback baked potato with a choice of tasty vegan filling.
Vegan options are also available if it’s just coffee and cake you are looking for. We serve locally produced, Brosse oat milk as well as coconut and soya milk. Whilst our homemade cakes change week by week the regular favourites include a gooey chocolate slice, a fruit packed slice and a sticky brownie.
